Just an idea, but maybe you could have a board in the Outer Lands that allows the roleplayer to pick somewhere else that the character can go. In the board, the roleplayer could name the thread somewhere that you may or may not have on the site already.
You could also have an Archives where finished posts can go. This would help members take a look into the past if they're confused with something.
