Ok, first off I would like to ask if there is any way you can turn the tynt off? It gets really annoying when I try to post an ad or need to copy and paste something -for example, I use ms word for figuring out my post counts- and the link to the website pops up. On the advertisements it just looks unappealing. All it takes is going into the general settings and selecting "no" for Enable Tynt.
My next idea is to maybe hold some random contests -such as drawing, writing, etc. contests- just to get members to be more active and involved on the forum. I've seen this work plenty of times before.
My last idea (I broke past a couple, I know), is to create a board for dead/inactive threads so that they can be moved and it could clean up the forum a bit. Something like an Archives board but it could have a more creative title (on my forums I've used terms such as warehouse, the lost, etc.).
Anyways, I just thought these could help out the forum to look a bit spiffier...if that's even a word. [/blockquote] |
