Everything was so peaceful, so relaxing, so perfect. Our lives went on unnoticed by the outside world. Our work of art never to be spoken of. Our land was like a pot of gold, heard of but never seen. Everything was just too perfect. I knew it wouldn't last for long. The ground rumbled, the Earth shaking - horses became more alert of the actions that were taking place around them. Lifting their heads from the grass they were grazing upon, they looked to their left. The left was closer to the ocean. They could see the ocean clearly, a perfect view. Small figures that blurred appeared out of the deep, blue waters. Equines became more aware of it and got curious, some went closer to the things and some stayed back at where they were at; scared.
The young horses that were always full of curiosity walked forward toward the rumbling monster. They were too curious and got themselves killed. These scrawny, two-legged beasts jumped off the sides of the monsters, holding something in their hands. All young horses were killed. The adults, puzzled and horrified, turned the opposite way and galloped off. Currently, they were in the state of Washington. They traveled until they reached the countryside of Wyoming. Wyoming was such a quiet place, with deserts, but it was peaceful. Once again, things turned back to normal. Things that begin perfect, never stay the way you want them to, no matter how hard you hold on to them. As time went on, humans invaded the United States even more, sticking a stick into the ground and claiming it as their own. It frustrated the older equines. Battle was not in mind though - they killed the young ones too quickly and too easily. They had to think about their own lives.
As they continued to get shoved back, back into Canada where the weather was too different, horses began to get even more aggravated. They all gathered together on the border of the United States and Canada. When an animal gets scared, if they can flee, they would. If they get cornered, they fight back. That's exactly what happened with the horses. They gathered together, 1,000 horse power, and went for the humans that took their homes away.
All wars came out. Horses fought the two legged beasts. They fought with their own hooves and knowledge from the past. It was a failure though. Humans had some things that horses didn't. For one, they communicated much better. They could think ahead of time - they didn't live in the moment. They had weapons such as Machine Guns and Grenades. What did horses have? Pure bone, muscle, and energy. Hundreds and hundreds of the horses died, and the rest retreated. They probably learned their lesson, to shut up and take what was given to them - though they didn't like it. So now, all they could do is sit out in the countryside, stay hidden, and think of another plan to win their home back.
Will you be the one to make a difference?
